    Good examples where you have identified the use of graphic design.
    To improve you need to describe, explain and discuss the connotations how the use of graphic design techniques has been used and promote the theme/genre.

    1A.1 (Level 1 Pass) you have identified the graphic styles in three media genres.

Poster The first thing I did to make my poster was to draw a hand which was covered with chains. The chains and hand represent the amount of freedom they had which wasn’t much.as you can see there were broken chains as well which connotes that they were fighting and broke some of the chains which gave them more freedom. This was done myself and I scanned it into the laptop/my email. Through photoshop I used various of tools to adjust the image. I used the ‘magic wand tool’ to remove the unwanted outsides. After that I used the lasso tool to make the image sharper and have no edges sticking out etc. after that I used filter and sharpen to make the image more appealing the last step was to use adjustment on the right-hand side and use the graph [ curves] this gave the image its colour and I had to do this three times. The hand and chains show slavery and also lack of freedom and this links to reggae because some of the music produced by the artists were about freedom and slavery. We

TASK 1C ANALYS A ADVERT

A lot of young kids from the age of 11-19 get bullied and know body wants to do anything about it because they don’t want to get involved or its because they are scared it could back fire at them. The advertisement proves my statement when the majority of the customers saw the bullying take place but they didn’t do anything. However, in the advertisement of burger king they decided to prank some of the customers who didn’t help with the bullying and they gave them beat up burgers. The beat up burgers connotes to the kids that are getting bullied. The interesting thing is that all the customers who got that damaged burger started to demand new food or refund. This shows lack of humanity which people have towards each other and I think that burger king made this

For this poster the mood and atmosphere is exciting and powerful because they use a well known actor to portray that feeling. The genre of this poster is corporate because it is a large company. The point of focus is for the target audience to get drawn into the slogan and have a feeling that they want to try the new product. One way they do is by using their well known slogan ‘ get some nuts’ this is a fun and good way into getting your target audience attracted to the product.if the slogan is effective it will make the target audience repeat it and the target audience will want to know more about the product.the target audience is mainly targeted to younger viewers because younger kids eat more chocolate compared to older target audience, however this is chocolate so this has a wide range of target audience because it is food. The ideology is corporate values because this is a product which the are trying to sell.also the brand identity is classic because they don't want it
